The 2017 MET Gala - When Fashion Meets Art

The MET Gala held on May 1st 2017, at New York’s Metropolitan of Art is one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year.

The annual black-tie event is one of the most exclusive events, raising significant funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. Centred on the chosen theme of the year, designer Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons, “Art of the In-Between” the night brought a vivid display of amazing Avant-grand fashion and a celebrity packed line up.

There was no shortage of spectacular masterpieces including Haley Bennet in a gorgeous 19th century inspired gown by Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda, Blake Lively in her stunning gold and blue feather trimmed gown and of course Rihanna hit the red carpet in her incredible architectural fantasy ensemble. It is no surprise these sunning pieces were PMC’s pick for best dressed.
